Acorn & Oak
A small seed and the tree it becomes: growth in two familiar images, warm and easy to say.
§ 29Industry file · Childcare or kids
Parents choose childcare on trust, and a child will say the name every morning at the door. It needs to be warm, safe and simple enough for a four-year-old to repeat, with enough maturity that a parent signing a contract feels reassured.

§ 03House rules
If a four-year-old cannot say it clearly, they will not announce it proudly at the door. Short words, open vowels and no tricky consonant clusters work best.
Parents sign contracts and hand over their children. A name that sounds calm and trustworthy sets up that moment, while a name that is too wacky can raise questions.
Childcare is regulated in most places, and the registered name appears on your licence and inspection reports. Confirm the name matches before you advertise.
Large nurseries and daycare chains protect names such as Little, Tiny, Bright and Kid. Search the trademark register in classes 41 and 43, and your local listings.
If you plan to add after-school or holiday clubs, a name that stops feeling right at seven (Tiny Steps) will need replacing. Pick one that can grow, such as Wonder Row.

A childcare or kids business name is easy to love in a list and hard to keep once it is on a door. Save the ones that slow you down, then put them through these.
