№ 04Scorecard · head over heart

Weight what matters. Let the arithmetic argue.

Gut feeling picked your shortlist. A weighted scorecard picks the winner: score each name against the things that matter to your business and see who leads, and by how much.

№ 0000 · 0 of 2 names on the card

Two names make a contest.

A scorecard needs at least two names side by side. Use your shortlist, type some in, or try it with the samples.

§ 04.1How it works

Three steps, no sign-up.

  1. Step 01

    Pick the names

Start from your shortlist, type names in, or load the samples. Two to six fit on one card.

  2. Step 02

    Weight, then score

Set how much each criterion matters (×1 to ×5), then score every name 1 to 5. Sayable and Available arrive pre-filled, marked as suggestions.

  3. Step 03

    Read the verdict

Totals update as you type. The leader is named, with what would have to change for another name to win. Stamp it, share it or print it.

§ 04.2Inquiries

Fair questions.

Q.01How are the pre-filled scores worked out?
Sayable comes from the same say-it-out-loud score shown on every name card: syllables, length, awkward consonant clusters and spelling traps. Available comes from a live check of .com, .io, .co and .ai, with .com counting for the most. Both are drawn dashed and blue, and they turn into your own score the moment you click a number.
Q.02Can I change the criteria and the weights?
Yes. Rename any criterion, delete it, or add your own such as Easy to spell or Works in Spanish. Weights run from ×1 to ×5. The card tells you which single weight change would hand the lead to another name, so you can see how fragile the result is.
Q.03Is my scorecard saved or shared anywhere?
It stays in this browser. Nothing is sent to a server. The Copy read-only link button puts the whole card inside the link itself, after the # sign, so whoever opens it sees your numbers but cannot change yours. The Print button gives a one-page record.
